For 3 weeks Eva went to do a course in combining glass blowing, ceramics and plaster. It was an interesting journey on the border in Frauenau, between Germany and the Czech Republic. People from many countries came to join various courses, a lot of them about glass. Since Frauenau is an old glass producing village with a lot of glass factories. The village is situated on a 250KM long glass street. Several glass factories are closing down, but hopefully studio glass keeps on existing and developing. The residency place was founded by a couple named Gretel and Erwin, sadly both passed away last year. It was special to be part of the community and institute they started there and that the next generations are continuing. Please contact us if you are interested in following a course there.
